Alex Bowman joins Spire Motorsports for 2022 Truck Series race at COTA; Sponsorship from HendrickCars.com

    Spire Motorsports has formally announced that Alex Bowman will pilot the team's No. 7 Chevrolet Silverado for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series 2022 Circuit of the Americas race weekend. Bowman, a full-time driver for Hendrick Motorsports in the NASCAR Cup Series will bring with him a primary sponsorship from HendrickCars.com and associate sponsorship from Ally Insurance.

Alex Bowman currently competes on a full-time basis for Hendrick Motorsports in the NASCAR Cup Series, piloting the No. 48 Chevrolet Camaro for the past two seasons. Bowman has seven wins at NASCAR's Top level of competition, and 230 starts backing him. Bowman's NASCAR Truck Series start this weekend will be only his third total behind the wheel of a stock truck. Alex Bowman however plans to use the Saturday race as a learning opportunity before the Cup Series race on Sunday.

“I’m eager to get back to COTA this weekend and make as many laps as I can,” said Bowman. “I had a good run in the Ally Chevrolet Camaro for Hendrick Motorsports last year and being able to race Spire Motorsports’ Chevy Silverado this year will be a great help as we get ready for Sunday. The more laps the better at a place like COTA. Spire Motorsports proved at Daytona they build trucks capable of racing at the front of the field so this weekend will be a great opportunity to get some extra seat time and try and race for the win.”

You can catch Alex Bowman and this paint scheme make their on-track appearance during the "XPEL" 225 at Circuit of the Americas. This race will take place on Saturday, March 26th. Live television coverage of the race will begin at 1:00 PM EST and will be aired on FOX Sports 1.
