LGBcoin.io and Brandon Brown enter two-year 'away from the track' partnership and endorsement deal

LGBcoin announced early Saturday morning (1/8/22) that they have entered an agreement with Brandon Brown to take part in a two-year 'away from the track' partnership and endorsement deal, as the company makes an attempt to support Brown financially. This news comes just days after NASCAR officially revoked approval for LGBcoin (Let's Go Brandon Coin) to sponsor the No. 68 Xfinity Series Camaro in 2022.

This parnership between Brandon Brown and LGBcoin will include personal participation in publicity events, video announcements, crypto-currency confrences, and 'race related' events. Though the pair will work together to represent Brandon Brown and the LGBcoin crypto-currency, it is important to note that this will include no sort of relationship for or at NASCAR events.

LGBcoin, one of the latest "meme coins", is a crypto-currency company based of the recent viral, and politically charged chant "Let's Go Brandon". The "Let's Go Brandon" chant originates from a NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Talladega Superspeedway in October of 2021, the first Xfinity Series victory of Brandon Brown's career. Many cautions, and red flags from chaos at the speedway pushed the finish of the race closer and closer to dusk. Eventually without track lights, NASCAR officials called the race, and Brandon Brown came out victorious. As Brown performed a celebratory burnout, and parked his race car near the finish line for a post race interview, fans began to chant. Some of these fans were chanting an inappropriate phrase, meant to target the United States President, and it was audible on television. The NBC reporter who heard this chant conveniently mis-reported what the chant was saying, telling viewers that the fans were congratulating the driver by saying "Let's Go Brandon". From that day forward, many individuals across the United States used the catch phrase "Let's Go Brandon" as a way to show their disapproval, and to insult the United States President. One detail is often left out of the whole matter is that now, Brandon Brown who had nothing to do with the chant, or the politics behind it, now became associated with political stances and vulgar language used to attack the President. That was not what Brown or Brandonbilt Motorsports intended to achieve from their first victory.

With Brandon Brown now associated with political movements, he became a highly un-marketable personality in the NASCAR world, losing much of his sponsorship, and not being able to obtain more. One company was interested in him though, that was crypto-currency company LGBcoin.io. Brandonbilt Motorsports sleeked NASCAR's approval for the full season sponsorship, and received it, or so they thought. Upon revealing the sponsorship, NASCAR released a statement saying that they did not approve the LGBcoin sponsorship. While Brandonbilt Motorsports appears to have received approval from NASCAR officials for the sponsorship, due to technical difficulties with an approval portal, it appears the greater NASCAR sanctioning body was unaware of this approval. As NASCAR is interested in distancing them selves from "Let's Go Brandon", they ultimately rejected approval for the sponsorship, and left Brandon Brown and Brandonbilt Motorsports sponsor-less.

As this story aims to inform, LGBcoin is not completely ending their support of Brandon Brown any time soon. Brown who is essentially without sponsorship in 2022, will be able to rely on his paid partnership with LGBcoin.io, which is expected to be an eight figure deal. Some questions do arise on how LGBcoin will be able to afford to pay such amounts, although the company must have some ability to do so, otherwise Brown would not be accepting such offers.

When asked about yet another deal occurring with LGBcoin, Brown commented saying "I’m working to achieve my own American dream," "I’m humbled and thankful for LGBcoin.io’s reaffirmed support for my professional journey and their commitment to maintain a patriotic message. LGBcoin.io has already demonstrated incredible potential and I’m excited to help build this brand through the 2022 season and beyond."

The NASCAR sanctioning body likely has no way to reject this deal between Brown and LGBcoin. As long as both parties act though their endorsement deal outside of the race track, NASCAR will not have any involvement, nor say in the matter. We can expect to see this deal and partnership progress in the following weeks, months and years.
