Josh Williams said, "I think you are going to see us running where we've been running. That top 12 to 20, I think that's where we are going to be every weekend. Next year is going to be really tough because there's a lot of good teams and a lot of money - I've never seen so much money floating before since I've been in NASCAR. It's going to be really tough, but I think we're putting together the right pieces, and I think we are going to be in a position to run very well."
Williams has accumulated eight top-10 finishes throughout the last 5 years with DGM Racing, and the driver believes that BJ McLeod Motorsports will surprise everybody in this coming season. Danny Johnson, Williams' former ARCA Menards Series crew chief, will crew chief for Williams next season. Additionally, all of Williams’ sponsors, apart from WorkPro (a DGM sponsor), will remain with him as he moves to BJ McLeod Motorsports.
Williams added, "I was looking for something to expand a little bit, grow a little bit and try to get somewhere I could start running a few Cup Series races a year. With the possibility that we could find some partners that want to go full-time Cup racing, it just worked out that BJ had his Xfinity team and his Cup team."
The season opening NASCAR Xfinity Series race for the 2022 season will take place at Daytona International Speedway on February 18th, 2022. Be sure to keep an eye open for news pertaining to Williams’ new ride, such as sponsorship and paint scheme. That kind of news can be found here at Stock Car Media!
