The "Thanksgiving Classic" is a race event held on Thanksgiving weekend (hence the name) from Friday to Sunday, primarily featuring Late Model Stock Cars and short track drivers from all around.
This weekend a young (15 year-old) Federico Gutierrez will be making his driving debut with Rette Jones Racing as the team fields a car for the driver in the Pro Late Model section of the "Thanksgiving Classic". This event will mark the driver's first appearance in a sanctioned motorsports event in the United States. Gutierrez will be guided through this race by co-owner of Rette Jones Racing, Mark Rette.
Federico Gutierrez, the younger brother of of ARCA Menards Series driver Max Gutierrez, has been a very successful race car driver in his home country of Mexico. Federico Gutierrez currently sits second in the Trucks Mexico Series (a part of the NASCAR Peak Mexico Series presented by Telcel) Championship standings, after winning a single race this season and scoring seven podium finishes total. Gutierrez will reach for the championship as two races remain in the 2021 season.
In the meantime Federico Gutierrez will expand upon his career, and gain some extra practice by competing in this weekend's race event. Adorning Gutierrez's race car will be "BOLSADX.mx" a trusted crypto-currency trading website in Mexico. Additionally Distributed Ledger Inc., TOUGHBUILT, Jimmy Morales Escuderia TELMEX/TELCEL, Ford Performance, Goodridge Fluid Transfer Systems, Jones Group Demolition and Abatement, as well as JRI Shocks will partner with the team for this race event.
Gutierrez's career is certainly in its infancy, though experiences like the ones he will gain during this weekend's "Thanksgiving Classic" are the tools necessary for him to build a successful international racing career.
