Richard Childress Racing announced earlier today (9/14/21) that Sheldon Creed will join the organization’s NASCAR Xfinity Series stable for the 2022 season. Creed will compete for RCR’s Championship-winning Xfinity Series program on a full-time basis, beginning with the 2022 season-opener at Daytona International Speedway on Saturday, February 19, 2022.

Sheldon Creed competes on a full-time basis in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series for GMS Racing, and is currently the defending the 2020 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series title. One of Creed’s other accomplishments is winning the 2018 ARCA Menards Series Championship.

By joining Richard Childress Racing's Xfinity Series lineup for 2022, Creed joins a impressive list of NASCAR drivers who have driven in the NASCAR Xfinity Series under the RCR banner, including Kevin Harvick, Clint Bowyer, Austin Dillon, Ty Dillon and Tyler Reddick, among others.

No information has been released about current NASCAR Xfinity Series and Richard Childress Racing driver Myatt Snider, pertaining to whether he will stay or if he will be moving elsewhere in 2022. It could be interesting to see if RCR has any desire to add a second entry in the series, making room for Creed and Snider.

Sponsorship for Sheldon Creed will be announced at a later date. Follow Stock Car Media to keep up with major NASCAR news, including future sponsorship for Sheldon Creed.
